Abraham Overview

This is an updated lesson (#3) in a 13-week series that I use in my class. I wanted one quarter to introduce the Old Testament with a basic timeline of the people and events. The students can learn what happened in the Old Testament and how those events lead to Jesus. This does not include Noah but includes specific events in the life of Abraham and Sarah, his son Isaac and Rebekah, and Jacob and Esau. This leads to Jacob and the 12 Sons/12 Tribes.

Abraham's Life

Abraham is a long lesson and can be divided into two lessons. Here is what is studied: God’s promise to Abram, birth of Ismael and Isaac, the angels visit, Abraham tries to save Sodom & Gomorrah, the sacrifice and the cave he purchases as a burial place. Abraham is found in Genesis 11-25.

Genesis Preschool Lesson Links

I am creating a lesson plan for a year for our Wednesday night 3 year old class. This post will have the links so you can find each lesson. This is the first quarter which is Genesis. I like to go through the Bible beginning with Genesis and we will end with Jesus returning to heaven. There will be three quarters of the Old Testament and the last quarter will be about Jesus.
