Jacob & Esau

https://www.biblefunforkids.com/2025/02/jacob-esau.html

This Old Testament study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for the lesson. Most of these lessons have project printables for younger students that I have been wanting to add for some time.

All of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and most are in black & white.

Jacob and Esau are divided into two parts as shown for this project.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. The Spinner and Foldable Book are in color and black & white. The Spinner works best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

This Tic Tac Toe game that is super easy to make and use! The game board is the fire for Jacob making the stew, and the bowl of stew and a birthright paper are the game pieces. This is a one-page printable in color and black & white. The students can be divided into groups and whoever answers a question, can add a team game piece to the board. Depending on time, you can play 1 or best out of 3/5 games can determine the winners.

There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The early writer has basic questions about Jacob and Esau with a word bank. Some of the words will be used more than once. The third was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher.  There is a Who did it? worksheet with a description for each person. The students will cut out the people and glue them to the correct description. There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet. The review worksheet has been updated. The write it out has four pictures that the students will write about each picture to describe what they remember from the lesson. The thought question can be used as in introduction to the lesson, or as a conversation starter after the lesson to discuss Jacob and Esau and how it applies to them.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, poster, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
