This Old Testament study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for the lesson. Most of these lessons have project printables for younger students that I have been wanting to add for some time.

All of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and most are in black & white.

The 3-D scene is super easy to prepare and fun for the kids and can be used as a visual, too!

To create the 3-D scene:

1. Print on paper or cardstock; although cardstock works better, and the people standups should be printed on cardstock.

2. Fold the paper in half.

3. Cut on black dotted lines on each side of the center tree of knowledge of good and evil.

4.  Fold bottom of scene forward on gray solid line. Fold forward on top line. Fold backward on the inside line.

5. Cut the people on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines.

Stand Eve by the tree with the serpent hanging from the top of the ledge to hang from the tree. Turn Eve around and show Adam & Eve eating the fruit. Then remove that and show Adam & Eve with fig leaves. Take the serpent down and lay it on its belly. After you discuss God’s consequences for disobeying, turn Adam and Eve around to see them in tunics leaving the garden.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. The Spinner and Foldable Book are in color and black & white. The Flip Book and Spinner work best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The second was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher.  There is a serpent color-by-number, number code and alphabet code worksheet. The review worksheet has been updated. The write it out has three pictures and the students will write about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The thought question can be used before the lesson as an introduction to discuss Adam naming the animals, or after the lesson as a conversation starter.

God created us in His own image. Genesis 3:27 (paraphrased)

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, poster, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
