Judas Betrays Jesus

https://www.biblefunforkids.com/2024/10/judas-betrays-jesus.html

This Jesus with Judas lesson has parts found in all four gospels and is part of the Life of Jesus series of lessons but specifically not found in the book of Luke. This discusses what the Bible tells us about Judas and is very interesting. There are different topics that can be used for the students now like stealing, personal responsibility, suicide, responsibility doing a job, handling money, just to list a couple. They are designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together.

Most of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and some are in color and black & white.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. The Spinner and Foldable Book are in color and black & white. The Spinner will work best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

This Tic Tac Toe game is super easy to make and use! The game board is a treasure chest, and the game pieces are coins and jewels. This is a one-page printable in color and black & white. The students can be divided into groups and whoever answers a question, can add a team game piece to the board. Depending on time, you can play 1 or best out of 3/5 games can determine the winners. This can be used with Judas to discuss how he didn't have his heart right with Jesus or talk about things they might have as 'treasures' that aren't what Jesus would consider a treasure. I kept this general so it can be used for any appropriate lesson.

The first worksheet is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank. There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The third was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The next is a word search and maze.  There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet. The Write it out! has four pictures that the student will use to describe what Judas did to betray Jesus. The thought question can be used before the lesson as an introduction, or after the lesson as a conversation starter.

The Concept Chart is designed to create discussions, look up and review the names that Judas was called and things we don't want to be. Other names like cheater and liar can be discussed also. This has a teacher's answer sheet included.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen from the chapter to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger and bookmark and poster. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
