The Luke chapter study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for an event that is in the chapter. The application printables key in on the Parable of the Great Supper (feast, banquet, dinner). Most of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and some are in color and black & white. There are not any visuals or clipart for these parables, so most of the application printables for this chapter compare these two parables.
I set up a table to look like a feast and let the students snack during class. Just some simple basics like fruit, cheese & crackers, bottled water, etc. and nothing with peanuts which seems to be the biggest allergy to watch for, although I ask about allergies at the beginning when they first come to class.
Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold
in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. The spinner and foldable book are in color only but can be printed in black/grayscale using your printer settings.
The Concept Chart is designed create discussions, look up and review main points in each chapter. They are intentionally kept plain so they can be used to each classroom's needs. There is one for excuses and one for salt.
The first worksheet on the right panel is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank. The next is a maze, the next worksheet was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The next is a chapter word search and crossword puzzle. There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet.
Don't make excuses! Luke 14:18
These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen from the chapter to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger and bookmark and poster. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
