Luke Chapter 8 Jesus Calms the Storm

The Luke chapter study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for an event that is in the chapter. This is part 2 of chapter 8.

Most of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and some are in color and black & white.

The top photo is a foldable book. Fold it in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. Done! The bottom picture is a Flip Book. Print and cut on solid lines. Layer in order and staple as shown on the cover. Both have color and black & white included.

The Spinner for this lesson is slightly different. Print on cardstock, if possible and cut out. Snip Jesus away from the disciple and trim the extra from the disciple. Insert the paper fastener/brad through the gray circles in the center and close the tabs on the back. To retell about this event, have the sunny background showing so they can set sail. Fold Jesus back so He isn't seen while He is sleeping. Spin to the windstorm background, and they can shake the spinner like the storm! They wake Jesus up, so unfold Him to calm the water. Spin back to the sunny sky and the disciples are amazed that even the winds and water obey His commands!

The first worksheet is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank. The second was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The next is a chapter word search and crossword puzzle. There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. There is a Who did it? worksheet with a description for each person. The students will cut out the people and glue them to the correct description. There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet.

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen from the chapter to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger and bookmark and poster. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
