Thank you, Jeanne Dickson, for another fun project!
The pictures shown here are Jeanne's original visual.
*Keep in mind, you can use this as a visual to create your own or print the download below. The printables below are different than what is shown in Jeanne's pictures. *
Jeanne has also given permission to share her notes to recreate this.
Jeanne used a stationery box to incorporate all the scenes. The inside bottom of the box has the jail cell with Peter chained between the soldiers.
As I was looking for a box to use, I found this plain box with a lid to be cheapest. Any craft store carries these.
Flip the box around
to the outside bottom and the angel is leading Peter from jail.
On the outside (top) of the lid, cut a door
opening and attach a brad for a doorknob. Something for Peter to knock on and
for Rhoda to not open.
Add
Peter knocking at the door of the gate.
Look! There's Rhoda,
but she's not alone.The Christians
praying for Peter are on a cardboard insert that folds out.
The Newsletter Foldable
can be used as a review handout, sent in the mail or in an email, especially
for those unable to be in class. The same lesson is included for the teacher.
This is the inside with the lesson and pictures. On the outside, Jeanne adds notes and assorted items. She might add a Bible verse, memory verse, a Bible song or two, a picture to color, a reward reminder and/or notes about class and hello to students. You could add a puzzle, maze, worksheet, whatever you prefer.
And a perfect song by Jeanne to use with this lesson!
