VBS Walking in Sonshine Decorations

Here are pictures only of the building decorations to help you with ideas. Thanks so much to Hope Terlecki for designing and making everything! Thanks to the people that helped Hope with decorating. 

This is Hope's bulletin board announcing/reminding everyone about VBS.

And, you know how tired and busy you are after VBS? Hope just took the letters off the board and presto - there was a summer bulletin board!

Here are the Bible lesson decorations:

Jesus is Born, Shepherds in the Field and Caesar's Decree

Bethlehem

I didn't get a picture of all the baskets, but they were full of bread and fish!

The fish were cut out pictures of real fish.

The Tomb for Lazarus and Jesus

There were huge cloud balloons (something like these) hanging from the ceiling in the hallways for Jesus returning to heaven, but the pictures just do not show how good they looked. The kids loved them!

Even the water fountain was decorated!

There are the crafts for the kids from each night. 

1. They colored the wood blocks, head and faces for Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.

2. They made necklaces with noodles and wood fish for the 5,000 fed.

3. They made Lazarus with toilet paper rolls, cotton and google eyes.

4. They made a cross from sticks and string and put it in a small pot with dirt. It was put into a paper bag with their name on it to pick up after VBS.

Beach Theme

Both sides were decorated with hanging seagulls in the entry.

This was the second area the kids saw when they came in the front doors. You can see close-ups of each area below.

This huge banner was hanging over the doors to go into the auditorium.
