Thank you, Jeanne Dickson, for sharing your fun ideas!
Here's a fun game idea!
Queen for the Day
Begin with one student playing the part of Esther and all the other kids answer review questions.
If they can answer the question, they get to choose an accessory for Esther to wear. If they cannot answer the question, then they do not add anything. When Esther is fully clothed, another student gets to play the part of Esther.
Some dress-up options are a royal robe, assorted crowns, scepter, necklace, ring and bracelet. Look for items in October at Wal Mart, Dollar Tree, or any place that sells these items in October. Jeanne made the scepter using a long wooden dowel and a large Styrofoam ball painted gold.
The Newsletter Foldable
can be used as a review handout, sent in the mail or in an email, especially
for those unable to be in class. The same lesson is included for the teacher.
This is the inside with the lesson and pictures. On the outside, Jeanne adds notes and assorted items. She might add a Bible verse, memory verse, a Bible song or two, a picture to color, a reward reminder and/or notes about class and hello to students. You could add a puzzle, maze, worksheet, whatever you prefer.
Here is a Mordecai and Esther song by Jeanne Dickson! This includes a one-page black & white printable of the song and a color flipchart of the song. Click here to download.
