Our lessons were chosen to learn about people that were under construction. God's construction. These people made bad choices and mistakes, but eventually were faithful and obeyed God. Peter denied Jesus. He eventually preached and lived for Jesus. The application was supposed to be faith. But I pretty much changed every lesson!

I asked my grands what they would like, and of course, games were the favorite choice! I like to review the lesson. So, for Peter, I designed this Jeopardy Twist game. If you purchase this pocket chart, or one similar, you can just print, cut and use. There are blank templates for you to create your own for any lesson. The numbers fit behind the clear part of the pocket and the questions are in the blue pocket. That is why I picked this one. There are directions to put it together, although it is really easy! And directions to play are included. They love these game buzzers and get excited when they see them ready to use!

I purchased these magnetic hooks to put the 'game board' on the magnetic white board and it worked good. I made sure I purchased strong enough magnets and the hooks were thin enough to fit through the grommets.

I use the Magnetic Board Visuals (MBV) for something different. I move beside the wall decorated for the person each night and use the wall also. The MBV can be used how you prefer, but I print on cardstock, laminate and add thin magnets to the back.

For the background, I found vinyl backgrounds here. You can pick from a lot of backgrounds, styles and sizes. Order early because they are shipped from Shanghai. They are folded, so if you have time, it helps to lay them out and roll them together to get the lines out. They were super easy to put up and take down and reusable. 

For the left side, I used part of this for Peter in the courtyard. I only used two panels. I removed the sky and added this Night Sky vinyl background. The plastic courtyard covered the city on the background.  I added the campfire, tree and rooster for texture and to complete the scene.

To make the people, I take the person from a Sweet picture and blow them up full-size on the overhead. I painted the outfits and printed the faces and anything with skin to match. I used this tape as the divider for the before and after scene for each person we studied.

I kept the door simple and used this Galvanized Metal bulletin board paper as the background. Then, I just printed and added the assorted posters I made for this VBS and used some signs I purchased here. Click here to download the signs file.
