Armor of God VBS
Paul wrote about the armor in Ephesians 6:10-20. Paul was used as the first lesson to introduce the theme and to explain what the pieces of the armor were as a whole. We used one or two pieces of armor for each lesson. 2. Noah 3. Joshua 4. Gideon These are the decorations for the building.
This was in the main foyer and was placed to highlight and not be missed! Someone's neighbor said they had the armor and volunteered to let the church borrow it for VBS. The enclosure around it are swords, add the torches and finish it off with the Armor of God banners. Great display!
The foyer was decorated with plastic sheets of stone that can be purchased, add the torches, use plastic tablecloth runners for more flair on the ceilings and walls and it is a great looking area.
This was an incredible display! You can see how big the ark was by the chairs (bottom left). There were animals walking down the hallways on both sides of the walls and around the room all heading to the ark! Haley put this together and asked the seniors to help with the animals. So don't be afraid to ask for help or to delegate.
This area was for Joshua, and they were shown marching around, then the walls coming down.
This scene is for Gideon and shows the idol worship. It was a dark time, and the kids liked the windows covered with the light from outside barely coming through.
This was the bulletin board to announce and remind people about VBS in the hallway.
I used 2" border on the sides, and 1 1/2" on the top and bottom.
I used this set of armor and printed the border and labels.
I used this soldier and added the shield that is included.
There are assorted sizes and blank labels included.
