ABC's of Jesus' Life: E is for Eat
Jesus feeds the 4,000 and 5,000
Jesus feeds the 4,000 and 5,000
These lessons can be used without the alphabet theme.
Just consider them an update with new ideas and printables to teach the Life of Jesus!
There is so many options for this lesson already here. Since I have had requests for more file folder games, this is what I designed. File folder games are fun and worth the time to make them. Everything is contained in the file folder. Just say game and the kids think it's fun. You can also glue the cover to a large envelope and store the pieces inside. Or, you can use real paper plates. Just use two plates and write 4,000 on a plate and 5,000 on the other. I added numbers on the answer cards. For example. find both number 1 cards and lay the card on the correct plate. The cards can be stored in an envelope or plastic baggie. There is an answer sheet that can be glued to the back (optional). Also, if you write 4,000 or 5,000 on the back of each card, they are self-checking. The first two columns are for the 4,000 and the last two columns are for 5,000.
Here is a fun basket to make by Haley Wilson. Click here to watch her video for Jesus Feeds the 5,000. The directions to make the basket is in the video. The fish and bread can be found in the application pack. Thanks Haley! This basket can be used for other lessons like Ruth too!
I decided to create some worksheets for older students. These all have teacher's answer sheets. The first is a number connect. There are so many numbers in this lesson! The students will draw a line to the correct event. This can be a good way to review or to discuss some of the differences. A word search and crossword are included.
These Anchor Charts are included. Click here to see more that were designed to be used to teach this lesson.
These Event Cards can be used as smaller visuals and they can be shuffled for the student to re-tell the events and lay them in order. The same full-page size visuals and pictures-to-color can be downloaded below.
There are alphabet mazes and worksheets included. These are half-sheets and can be used in Interactive Notebooks. Click here to see a free video on how to make and use Interactive Notebooks. There is a set of 5 and 10 piece puzzles. The bread and fish can be cut out and glued or laid onto a paper plate, put into a paper bag, or however you decide to use them
