Isaac & Rebekah's Life

This is a very long lesson and I suggest it is divided into two and it can easily be done teaching about Isaac & Rebekah, then Jacob & Esau. Students will study Isaac and Rebekah and issues with wells. Jacob & Esau are their twins and they have arguments over the birthright and Isaac’s final blessing. Esau is studied here and Jacob will be taught in the next lesson.

These are the basic posters for Isaac. A map is included and the gifts Jacob gave to Esau when they reconnected. The Burial Cave in included also, but see below for additional worksheets.

This Graphic Organizer can be used to compare what we know about Jacob & Esau. The top is the completed teacher's visual with the answers. It can also be used by itself to discuss the differences about the brothers. These are included in Jacob's lesson also.

I added these event cards. Print them on cardstock. Cut each card around the solid outside line and fold on the center dotted lines for the stand-ups. Place the Jacob & Esau stand-ups on the table with the event cards in a pile in front. The teacher can either move the correct event card to Jacob or Esau while teaching, or for a review. Students can take turns also. If you number the back with 1 or 2, they can be self-checking for the students. They are included in Jacob's lesson, too.
