This Adam & Eve lesson discusses
them being created and their job in the Garden of Eden. Their disobedience in
eating the fruit and their punishments are mentioned, but can be expanded
depending on your age group.
Adam & Eve is found in Genesis 1-5. This is a short
lesson, considering how long most in this series are, so you can discuss
creation, or sin with personal responsibility. If you plan to have the students keep a
notebook or interactive notebook, this will give you more time to add any extra
information for it. If you decide to go through the Bible, a notebook would be
a good way for students to review what they have learned.
Keep in mind
that these are written for a group of different ages. Their children are briefly
listed, but discussion is reserved for the next lesson about Cain, Abel and
Seth.
The following posters, worksheets and more are
in the lesson and application pack.
These can be used for teacher's visuals and they can be added to students notebooks.
The first worksheet is a cut and glue the sequencing timeline pictures in the correct order. If students only put glue above the dotted lines, it creates a life-the-flap with information space under the picture. There will be a lot of these because 1. they were requested and can be used as a timeline for each lesson and 2. the students like to cut and glue. When I asked several people about this series, they said the students love cut & glue... but the teacher's not so much!
The second picture is the completed cut and glue. This can be the teacher's visual or for the students especially if they are keeping a notebook.
The last pictures of the tree is a simple (but great especially for the younger students). You can let them draw the fruit how they think it looked, you can use Dot Markers and let the students add stems, or you can let them add assorted fruit stickers since we don't know what the fruit was.
