Song with Stand-Ups
New Birth of Jesus worksheets
This song is really easy for the little ones to sing! The tune is Mary Had a Little Lamb so it tells about Jesus with repetition. I included these new stand-ups. (See below for an older, larger set.)
This includes the standard one-page black & white song and the color flipchart.
The above worksheets are an update from a previous post. The first is the completed teacher's visual. This would also be a good addition to the series coming next year if you want the students to keep a notebook. The middle is the student's worksheet. They will (or you before class) cut out the pictures on the last picture. If the students only put glue on the area above the dotted lines on the worksheet and add the pictures in the correct order to create a sequencing timeline, they will have a lift-the-flap paper with the events written under each picture.
This is a slightly different way to put the events in order. The left is for older students and the right is for younger students. Allison is a school teacher at my congregation and she suggested the dotted writing worksheet for younger students. Next year's lessons on Friday's are intended to be used with several ages in a class. This way, they can do the same worksheet!
