These Guided Bible Reading Learning Packs were originally created to be sold on Teachers Pay Teachers. I have several packs started, completed or somewhere in between and worked on them for a year or two and just found them on the computer again. These were designed with a whole different concept in mind. I started making these all-inclusive packs to use at home for Bible study or homeschooling, but they are perfect for Bible class also. Since I was using them at home, they cover a wider range of abilities. Some printables are for preschool and some for older elementary ages. And ages in between! Scripture is Acts 16:8-40.
I also realize that some people do not like graphics for Bible material, so a lot of the printables do not have any. Most pages are available in color and black & white when possible. Most worksheets with Biblical questions have a teacher's answer sheet included. This has 65 pages and you won't use everything unless you are using it for a variety of ages.
Here is what is included and some ideas to use the pages:
The lesson and scriptures are in the pack first, then a fill-in-the-blank worksheet. These lessons follow directly through the scripture. After or during the scripture reading, it can be used as a clarification of the text. Or, if you are using this pack for more than one study session, it can be read as a reminder of what was learned previously. This is intended for older students, but for preschool or non-writers, the questions can be read and discussed instead.
There is a map included. You can print in color and black & white.
The stand-ups below can be used with the map if you want to 'walk' Paul and Silas to Philippi to see Lydia. (which kids love to do!)
There
is a set of Review the Facts Cards to review the scripture. These are black
& white only, but can be printed on color paper. They can be put into a
container for students to pick out or hand out and answer, or divide the class
into groups and make it game. They LOVE these buzzers and get excited when they see them!
Word
Wall labels are included. These are black & white only, but can be printed
on color paper. Although, I suggest printing on cardstock to reuse especially
if kids will be using them. These are to use with a pocket chart. (I use small
ones from Dollar Tree or Target.) They can be used like the Fact Cards above.
Let the students say something from the lesson about the word.
These Discussion Starter Key Question worksheets are intended for review. There is color and black & white and with or without the graphics. Lydia worksheets are also included, but not shown. There is a teacher's answer sheet for each also.
Younger students love these stand-up displays. This includes the color and black & white background and people. Print on cardstock. Cut around the outside solid line of the stand-up and fold on the center dotted line. They can retell what they remember of the Bible account.
This includes a color and black & white one-page foldable book for Paul & Silas and Lydia.
There are pictures to color for Paul & Silas and Lydia.
There is a different simple maze and crossword puzzle for Lydia and Paul & Silas in black & white only. The crossword puzzles do not have any graphics.
These posters are available in color only.
These masks are included. Sorry, Lydia is not available. They are in color only.
Students love to use these. They can be used to tell, discuss or review the Bible facts.
Print on cardstock and cut around the outside. These can be used with the eyes or with the eyes cut out. Attach to a large craft stick or paint stick.
These worksheets are help the students think deeper about what Paul and Silas went through and how they would act and feel during a similar situation.
I picked one key verse for Paul and Silas in Prison and Lydia. There are posters in color and black & white. There are fill-in-the-blank worksheets (NKJV) and a worksheet for younger students to copy the scripture and are black & white only. All these will help with memorization.
Look for more Paul & Silas or Lydia visuals, printables and songs using the search bar or the Labels on the right side bar.
Saul Sees the Light is another Guided Bible Reading Learning Pack
that was created with a lot of the same content. But with 61 pages
appropriate to the scripture.
You can see this next month on June 14th.
