We talked about deer and how amazing God made them. I mostly concentrated on white-tailed deer since that is mostly what they see in our area. This was a fun study. It was done in our home and is not intended for Bible class. It can be used for homeschool, programs like Mother's Day Out, etc. The posters and some of the projects can be used for preschool or kindergarten.
We began our study about deer with these information posters I created. They are two to a page to save printing. They have a real photo and information text easy for preschoolers to understand and hold their interest. Quite a bit of the information in this pack is general deer knowledge from my husband. Click here to download the posters.
When I read about the deer licking their nose, I had them try to lick their nose. They had so much fun trying and I had so much fun watching them! ☺
They have a lot of fun with the deer antlers!
We also discussed buck, doe and fawn with these deer standups. Download here.

I found these wood deer cutouts at Hobby Lobby. They loved painting!
I also found these bucks at Dollar Tree to use.
I printed a forest background for them to paint after they painted their wood deer.
When they were dry, they added forest animal stickers.
I used this background, but there is a free one you can download here from www.pixabay.com.
The stickers were purchased at Michaels for $1.00.
I made these posters two per page to save ink. These are real photos of the animals that live in the forest and woods. I tried to find full body photos of each animal in their natural habitat. These are in color only. Click here to download.I used this background, but there is a free one you can download here from www.pixabay.com.

We looked at these books from the library. This means this is what our library had available. If there is not a link, then it was not on Amazon at the time of posting. I suggest looking at your library to see what is available for free and if you love any of the books, then purchase them. Most of these are not really for preschoolers.
