God makes the Forest Animals: Beavers

This is part of our preschool learning we did at home. It includes ideas that can be used at home to learn about the animals God created. *This is intended for home use or preschool (or kindergarten) classes. They are not intended for Bible class.*

We began our study about beavers with these information posters I created. They are two to a page to save printing. They have a real photo and information text easy for preschoolers to understand and hold their interest. Click here to download the posters.

A fun hands-on part of learning about beavers is making a dam. Have the kids collect sticks, dirt and whatever you have to make one. This is a great STEM or STEAM project. We just returned from vacation, so I kept it simple. Just finding the sticks and laying them just right was enough to get the point across.

I made these posters two per page to save ink. These are real photos of the animals that live in the forest and woods. I tried to find full body photos of each animal in their natural habitat. These are in color only. Click here to download.

We looked at these books from the library. This means this is what our library had available. If there is not a link, then it was not on Amazon at the time of posting. I suggest looking at your library to see what is available for free and if you love any of the books, then purchase them. Most of these are not really for preschoolers.

The Backyard Animals Beavers seemed to be the easiest for them for information and had a good section about the beaver's features.

The kids seemed to enjoy all the books in the second photo. They like stories with the animal in them.
