This is part of our preschool learning we did at home. It includes ideas that can be used at home to learn about the animals that God created. *This is intended for home use or preschool (or kindergarten) classes. They are not intended for Bible class.*
I made these posters two per page to save ink. These are real photos of the animals that live in the forest and woods. I tried to find full body photos of each animal in their natural habitat. These are in color only. Click here to download.
I purchased these animals and these animals to use for the forest and woods animals. These animals can be purchased at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. with a discount coupon to be much cheaper. I printed a forest background with a water area for the beavers and a path for the deer. I laid the green felt down for grass and set the tree background on top. They were able to name the animals. We talked about where each animals would live in the forest and they loved playing with this set. You could lay out the posters above and let them put the plastic animals on the same animal to compare animals.

Books about Forest Animals:
Forest Explorer (intended for older learners)
In the Forest (♥♥ Love this one!)
Who Lives Here? (Very cute and super small)
I learned it was easier and more fun to just discuss a specific animal!
