This is part of our preschool learning we did at home. It includes ideas that can be used at home to learn about the animals God created. *This is intended for home use or preschool (or kindergarten) classes. They are not intended for Bible class.*
We began our study about elephants with these information posters I created. They are two to a page to save printing and are not numbered so you can shuffle them to use however you choose to . They have a real photo and information text easy for preschoolers to understand and hold their interest. Click here to download the posters.
These posters are two per page to save ink and in color only. They are real photos of animals in the Savanna. Click here to download.
I pulled out the Savanna pack from their Habitat notebook. They used the pictures I put into envelopes and spread those out. We named them and then they used the plastic animals in the above set, they placed them on the corresponding photo of each animal. You can use any animals including any Fisher Price safari animals or these (which they loved. I purchased at Michaels and/or Hobby Lobby with a percent off coupon).
When I found the Elmer the Elephant book at the library, I knew exactly what craft we would do! I had these tissue squares I had purchased at Dollar Tree. So, I printed the elephant on cardstock. I spread the Elmer's glue all over the elephant and they had a lot of fun picking just the right color (☺) squares to complete their picture. They added a wiggle eye and loved their Elmer the Elephant!
We looked at these books from the library. This means this is what our library had available. If there is not a link, then it was not on Amazon at the time of posting. I suggest looking at your library to see what is available for free and if you love any of the books, then purchase them. Most of these are not really for preschoolers.
They love Ella's Bath because it is a lift-the-flap. And, Elmer (not pictured) was a good book they liked along with the craft.
