VBS With Haley: Moses & the Red Sea Crossing

https://www.biblefunforkids.com/2018/08/vbs-with-haley-moses-red-sea-crossing.html
This is our last night (4th) of our Moses VBS. Haley and Glenda teach one of the preschool classes and this is their decorations and craft ideas. I also included the craft that the other children created for this lesson.

Thanks to Haley Wilson for sharing her photos and ideas! Haley teaches with Glenda Wilson. And Glenda creates most of the ideas that Haley uses. Haley tells Glenda we need this or that and Glenda creates it! Thanks to both for permitting me to share!
Haley and her husband designed this Red Sea for her classroom.
You can see it in action in the above video.
You can see how they made it below.

 This the Red Sea open.
Just using the carpet looks like dry ground!

This is what it looks like with the water and frame together.

This is the frame that is used to pull the water up and down on one side.
Look close because there is a string to make it even easier.
The string is the top and the water can fold over to cover both sides
of the frame.
The left side is attached to the wall and stays up.
Haley and her husband created this Red Sea for Paul's Theater.

They used this idea for their craft. The kids love these! And they love stickers. Purchase 9" blue paper plates and cut out the 'dry ground'.  Allow to dry, then fold up the sides of the paper plate like you see above (it will look like a flat-bottomed taco).

The wall of Red Sea water can be up when Moses has the staff up or down when Moses has the staff down. Just turn Moses around to re-tell the Bible facts. The kids added fish stickers to the sides of the plate for the water.  Click here to print.

I do not know who was in charge of crafts. They loved this one! She said it was fun. The tape was on their canvas and they painted it like they wanted to. And, then they pulled off the tape. I asked what the lines were and she said it was the tire treads from the wagons crossing the sea.

    1. Haley said the pvc was heavy enough itself to be weighted down. It was 6 ft tall and 8 feet wide
