These are photos of the foyer and hallways for our VBS: Moses.
Thanks to Kelly Ward, Donna Conway & Melissa Smith (their children and any others I am not aware of) for permission to share your fabulous Moses decorations! Pictures don't do them justice, but they will give you ideas. All the foyer walls and hallways were decorated floor to ceiling!
The Foyer
This Pharaoh was so tall and they added fabric for texture for his clothes.
This is a close-up of the wall below.
They added twisted burlap on the basket and lid to add texture.
The top of the scene carried over the doors to create a super large scene of the Nile River.
This scene is the workers building the bricks.
This is Pharaoh's palace with netting floating in a large square. Inside his area, you can see his bed pallet and blanket and other accessories. The back wall is decorated with columns.
The Alcove
Huge and incredible burning hush!
The flock of sheep were on the opposite wall of the burning bush.
The Hallways
With the color of carpet that we have and the walls decorated like the Red Sea being parted,
it looked and felt like you were walking on the dry ground!
It is so hard to get a good picture of the waters, but I mostly wanted to show you how to add texture and depth to the display. Different colors and rolling and fluffing the paper makes it look like the Red Sea! There is a stone looking bulletin board paper that can be cut to make great looking rocks.
Here is a corner showing a different way to create the water.
You can see the rolling waves on the right side.
A lot of sea items were added and left flopping around to create the pop and look of walking beside the water.
At the end of the Red Sea hallway, you saw this Moses.
The fabric textures added a beautiful touch to the visual.
Sea animals can be added on the side to make it more realistic and fun.
Yes, everyone knew some animals are ocean animals, but it was fun.
Arinne Alsup made this really cute bulletin board!
This is a Pinterest find.
