Thanks to Haley Wilson for sharing her photos and ideas! Haley teaches one of the preschool classes with Glenda Wilson. And Glenda creates most of the ideas that Haley uses. Haley says we need this or that and Glenda creates it! Thanks to both for permitting me to share!
Haley and Glenda used a planter to represent the well. This was in the VBS supplies room so I don't know who painted it. It a super big (about 42" round x 32" tall) plastic planter. The stone design was painted on the outside only. It is actually an excellent idea because it is so big and kids can fit inside.
If you don't have a giant planter, you can use rock wall bulletin board paper to create one. Staple one side to the wall. As you unroll it, shape it to look like a half circle to pop out from the wall. Cut and staple the other side to the wall. Or, cut a piece long enough to pull both ends together to create a stand-up well. Staple using a long stapler and tape if needed the ends together. This corrugated paper would work great.
They sat a full pitcher of water in the well. They kept the empty pitcher inside the well when they dipped it and pulled up the full one! So, they all drank 'well' water.
Glenda made the camels to remind them that she gave them water also.

I found this camel perfect for a Bible visual at Ikea! I plan to add dowel rods inside the legs to make it stand up. It is big enough to use a (Barbie size) doll like Rebekah. See it at Ikea or Amazon.
