These preschool Bible lessons are created and used
at home and are suitable for home or Bible
class use. We talked about how God makes the rainbows and the promise He made to Noah. Genesis 6-9
These information posters are the same style
as the animal posters. There are two to a page. I kept the concepts as
simple as I could for preschoolers to understand. One of the posters
discusses reflection. We talked about what do they see when they look in the
mirror? They see themselves; although they are not actually inside the mirror.
That is their reflection. They understood the concept when it was explained
that way. These do not include any Bible facts. They were created for Rainbow information only.
I
also included this color and black & white color chart to help explain the
color order.
This is a condensed version of basic facts about Noah and the rainbow God put in the sky. Noah was faithful to God. God told Noah to
build an ark. That is a big boat. Noah obeyed God.
God told Noah to use gopher wood. God told him just how big to
build it, too. It had 3 floors, 1 door and 1 window. Noah built the ark just
like God told him to. God said He
was going to flood the earth and Noah and his family would be saved on the ark.
They took a girl and boy of each animal on the ark. They took enough food for
everyone.Noah was 600 years old when God flooded the earth. It took 7 days for the animals to go onto the ark. The animals entered as a pair. Both of the lions, both of the giraffes, both of the raccoons, and so on. Noah and his wife, his 3 sons and their wives went on the ark (equals 8). Then, God shut the door of the ark.
God was pleased with Noah for his obedience and put a rainbow in
the sky. God said it is His promise that He would never destroy the earth with
water again. Every time you see the rainbow in the sky, it will remind you God’s
promise.
These two Noah's Ark songs were added last week. "Wasn't That a Lot of Fun?" is a great song to 'tell' about Noah instead of teaching it like a lesson.
They love this rainbow song! We sing it all the time in Bible class. When we have extra time I point to one of the colors and ask them to name something God made in that color. Great thinking and learning for them!

**Update: Since I was teaching the colors of the rainbow, I decided to update this printable also. This download includes the song and a rainbow with the correct color order. I printed one for each child and they love reaching as high as they can to sing the song! This includes your choice of 2 and 4 per page to print. Click here to download.
And, another Noah song! This has a lot of repetition that preschoolers like. This has the standard flipchart like Jeanne's songs have with the one-page black & white song printable. This also has a smaller set that can be used on craft sticks to sing with. Directions included. Click here to download.
This match the animals to their shadows worksheet can be used for any animal study or just for fun! Click here to download it.
They love headbands, so I made these for them to paint or color. I like this one because it has enough sections to do the correct colors: Roy G. Biv. This includes color and black & white. Click here to download.
I wanted something a little different from the printed Noah's ark they get from Bible class and I found these foam kits here. They enjoyed them but they are a quick project! Since there was one door and one window, they covered up the extra windows with the animals.
I found these workbook/sticker books here. Lots of fun for $1.00!

Sooo, as I was getting this ready, I decided to update this
Good Old Noah song that they LOVE. These are 4 to a page and are all real
photos of the animals. I added the animal and sound/movement on each card. I
print these on cardstock and glue to a large craft stick. I pass them out and
point to each student and they hold theirs up for everyone to sing. I take it
from them once we sing each animal or they want to keep holding them up and the
song is never done! Click here to download.
Now that you have made your way past the songs, check out some of the projects that we did. ☺

This is a
simpler rainbow maze and this includes two different wording choices.
They added cotton balls to the clouds.
This maze seemed a bit hard for preschool, so it would be better for early elementary ages. It is black and white only with an answer sheet. Click here to download. They added cotton balls to the clouds.
There are a couple of Noah projects here including this Do-A-Dot Markers rainbow. We did this worksheet and they love using the dot markers.
We read quite a few book for this study!

What Makes a Rainbow (a favorite) and good for colors
A Surprise for Tiny Mouse (also a favorite with the rainbow spin wheel)
Rainbow When You See a Rainbow
God Painted a Rainbow (great for discussing everything that God made)
We looked at a couple of the pictures in this Noah's Ark book (not shown in photo). It has a nice fold out of the inside of the ark that helps them see how they all fit.
