This is such a good lesson to discuss giving God the glory!
This includes a set of Stand-Ups to retell the lesson.
Last week we learned about
Saul leaving Damascus. His friends put him in a basket and let him down the city
wall so he would be safe. Saul is known as Paul now. He is called Saul or Paul. Paul was traveling with Barnabas, and they have
traveled to Lystra. They have been traveling for a couple of years telling
people about Jesus.
At Lystra, there was a man
that has been crippled from birth. That means he has never walked. He was sitting and
listening to Paul teach about Jesus. When Paul saw that he had faith to be
healed, Paul said in a loud voice: “Stand up straight on your feet!” The man
jumped up and walked!! Perfectly!!
Think about this, he had
never walked and now he’s walking like he’d always done it! That is called a
miracle. A miracle is something only God can do. It
happens instantly. They didn’t go to the doctor for medicine or therapy.
When the people saw this,
they thought it was so incredible that Paul and Barnabas could heal the man!
When Paul and Barnabas saw
how amazed the people were, they tore their clothes and ran into the group of
people saying, “We are just normal men teaching about God.” He created heaven
and the earth. God made everything in them.”
Paul and Barnabas didn’t
heal the man, God healed him. Paul and Barnabas wanted the people to know about
God’s power.
Scripture
is Acts 14:1- 23.
I like using these Stand-Ups for this age group. They like to be able to walk them around and retell the facts. The house in on a half sheet of paper and fold to stand up. The color and black & white for the house are both included; BUT, the people stand-ups are only in color. They wouldn't change to black & white correctly. Also, the people on the cover wouldn't process correctly when I was creating the PDF, but the printables are perfect to use. Click here to download.
These accordions were designed for this lesson to discuss things God created. The anchor charts can be used for each section. Students can write their favorite item, draw it, or you can have stickers available. This can be used for any lesson that you want to discuss things God made and is perfect for lapbooks, too.
