This is an overview (extended) lesson on Peter. The visuals and lesson are included along with a matching worksheet. This can be used as a Chalk Talk.
Cathy has these visuals in her Bible class materials and I was permitted to recreate them to share with you. I created them a year ago before posting and as I was checking everything, I decided I didn't like the graphic that was used for the large visuals. Cathy used a page size rooster head and when I tried to enlarge any of the graphics I could find, they didn't look right. Some of you saw the original post before I decided to temporarily disable it so I could update it. So, I hope you will give this one another chance!
So, although I have really tried to recreate all of Cathy's printables to be like hers, this one is different. I decided to use a full rooster instead of just the head for the full size visuals. These look much better. And, in the last year with a new program I am using, I am able to make the visuals look so much better.
And, I liked this so much, I decided to teach it! I had one extra week to fill, and used this one. Peter is just so interesting and I love being able to teach all the main points of a Bible person at one time. The kids (and me) learn and remember more when you see it like this. I have to say "Great lesson, Cathy."
To use this as a Chalk Talk, follow the Add... that are in parenthesis in the lesson outline below. This can be written on a chalkboard, or whiteboard. Or, you can write the words before class and refer to them. Click here to download the visuals.
Since I decided to teach this lesson, I added a corresponding worksheet. I let the students fill in the spaces with short key words as we discussed the lesson. Click here to download.
The lesson is condensed overview of Peter's life. The numbers you see in the lesson correspond with the numbers in the above visuals download. Click here to download.
