Week 11 continues the scriptures and inspiration of my
Sister-in-Law Cathy Whitacre.
Special thanks to two of Cathy's granddaughters for this week's introduction. Thank you Mikayla & Mattie!
One of the best last memories I had with her was her wheeling into the kitchen and teaching me to make pasta bake. She taught me how to make a red sauce and she worked so hard to walk me through each step. Nana as showed me so much and taught me more than being a good cook, because of her I know how to be a good mom, wife, and Christian woman. I really love my Nana. Mattie Humble. That's how I would describe my nana. She is always putting others before herself. Over the years she has taught me through example how to be a good wife, mother, and grandmother. My Nana has also taught me many things about the bible. One most important one sticks out Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." My Nana also taught me how to make her delicious apple pie. We just took a day together and she took me through step by step and even helped me cut apples and everything. I love my Nana so much and am so thankful for her wonderful Christian example. Mikayla

June 3, 2015Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Tonight I look out the window at the same beautiful sun warmed sky that I could only imagine you are looking at. My prayer is for you to continue steadfastly in serving the Lord as His children and servants as the days go by. Do not grow weary in well doing for the sake of the kingdom. The seed you are sowing will live long beyond the time you are able to be there. Colossians 1:10 We want to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. My prayer is for your rest and strength to continue steadfastly in the days ahead.

Eccl.12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God and keep commandments: for this is the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
As I start my day the sun is shining so bright that it is welcoming me to a wonderful day. The Lord is doing the same for you as well. Watching every day we can grow in His word. Starting today with a new zeal begins with a new excitement. Share God's word with those that are lost and waiting to hear the message of His love.
"I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" My strength that I have received is from the Father above. When I feel my weakness I can feel the strength as well. God gives me the help that I need. We need to pray for each soul, each child searching for truth. James 1:4-5. Thank you Lord for the strength today.

Oh! I sit here in the morning needing to get ready for church. Posted my Sunday stillness and (just for a moment) peek in on those who've joined in on the conversation. I turned to you and I am blessed. You are a light shining - shining in the darkness. A legacy that will not go away. I am blessed. This post fits so nicely with what I wrote today. In the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Blessings.... Your Chris~
