I have used this photo for the weekly posts from Cathy since she often mentions the Tennessee hills that she sees from her bedroom window. In this photo alone, we see so many of God's blessings and His awesome creation. Cathy was a blessing to all who knew her and will be missed. This is the final post of Cathy's daily inspiration that she shared.
Cathy's Corner
June 25, 2015
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love His appearing.
I am so blessed
to be able to look out this beautiful window here at home and see the blessings
that God has given me. The Lord has blessed me with more than I could have ever
imagined.
As the Spring has progressed into a beautiful Summer I have been able to enjoy the presence of my family here in the holler in Tennessee. Each blessing has been fulfilled by your loving care and thoughtful prayers.
I am getting
tired and will be unable to continue my posts. I wanted to thank everyone for
your support and care during this time. A special blessing and thank you goes
to my physical and spiritual family from the time this journey has begun.
Without them, it would have been utterly impossible to fulfill. It is my prayer
that someday we will all meet again.
I wanted to thank
you again for allowing me to be a part of your life as you have been such a
important part of mine these past months.
Your Sister Cathy
Here
are some interesting favorites from Cathy:
Cathy's
favorite Bible lesson to teach was Ezekiel and the Valley of the Dry Bones.
Cathy's
favorite Bible class song was Jesus Loves the Little Children.
Cathy's
favorite song during worship was 'God's Family'… We are part of a family, that's been born
again...
Cathy's
favorite character in the Bible was Paul.
Cathy's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 34:4: I sought
the Lord, and He
heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears. (That is so appropriate.)
And delivered me from all my fears. (That is so appropriate.)
(Thanks
to Cathy's daughter Christina and Cathy's best friend Susie for answering my
questions.)
As
I have mentioned, Cathy permitted me to share her Bible class materials with
you. I have re-created 17 lessons about David. The series on David will begin in September and
they will continue through the rest of this year. Then beginning in January, I
will be posting lessons about Jesus, assorted Old Testament people and more Bible lessons are ready through mid next year. As I updated Cathy about the lessons
the last time we were able to visit with her, she was too weak to
talk about it, but she squeezed my hand and that said it all. We so wanted to
spend time discussing Bible class ideas together and be able to share more with
others.
What a wonderful woman and a life well lived. Thank you so much for allowing us the privilege to get to know Cathy better. Our deepest sympathies to yourself and Cathy's family. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss. I pray the Lord will watch over her loved ones during this difficult time. God bless you all.
