Please take a moment of your time to
join us as I share daily scripture, thoughts and more from Cathy Whitacre. This is week 1.
It is with
much sorrow that her body cannot fight cancer this time due to other issues.
Cathy is content to be able to be home with her family and Hospice care. These
are Cathy's daily thoughts which I will post a week at a time. She wants
to use this time in a positive helpful way and we pray that these scriptures
and thoughts might encourage you.

This is the
day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."Psalms 118:24
Yesterday I
was able to come home from the hospital. I am so thankful for this day and any
other days that the Lord gives me. I know that I have been blessed by all the,
cards, calls, food, visits and mainly the countless number of prayers brought
to the throne room of our Father.
My journey has taken a different turn, one that I wish I could give an answer to, but fortunately God is in control and not myself.
Each day I
am so very grateful for my wonderful family who have stood by me each step of
the way. No one could have asked for such love, for this "I rejoice"
My spiritual family has been and continues to be the strength to support us all as we need you, for this " I rejoice".

I thank God for today and all it's wonderful blessings, and I thank God for each of you!

Eccl.
3:1 "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under
the heaven."
Each year I look forward to the warmth of Spring. There is no better evidence of our Fathers magnificence than to look out my window at His handy work. My mountain view is just that, a glimpse of His creation. What an awesome Creator.

James
1:17 " Every good and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down
from the Father of lights.."
For the past few days I have been blessed with visits from family, physical and spiritual. To me there is nothing more comforting than to listen to the exchange and sharing of thoughts and memories. I'll admit I may not remember all the stories but that is not important, it is the sound of a voice, a touch of a caring hand, a smile or a gentle tear that have made these special.
Each day with the ones you love is a gift that can only be given by our Father.
Unwrap your gifts and enjoy.
Your Sister Cathy
