N is for Naaman: Preschool at home ideas and printables!

This week we are learning about Naaman. He is found in 2 Kings 5. He is a Commander in the Syrian Army. He was a great man and he had leprosy, a very bad disease. Naaman had a girl that was a servant for his wife, and she told Naaman's wife that it was too bad that the prophet Elisha wasn't there, because he could cure Naaman of his leprosy.

Naaman told his king about Elisha, and the king wrote a letter to the king of Israel stating that he was sending Naaman to Elisha to be cured of his leprosy. Elisha heard about the letter and asked the king to send Naaman to him.

Naaman took his horse and chariot to Elisha's house, but Elisha sent a messenger to talk to Naaman. The messenger told Naaman to go dip in the Jordan River 7 times to be healed of his leprosy.

Naaman didn't like that! Why didn't Elisha come talk to Naaman himself? And why that dirty Jordan River? Why can't I wash in a different cleaner river? But, Naaman's servant asked him if Elisha had told him to do something great, wouldn't he have done that? He told Naaman "Wash, and be clean."

Naaman dipped into the Jordan River 7 times and he was healed, he had perfect skin! And, Naaman said he would be faithful to God too!

I found these guys at Dollar General, and I needed 2 (one for each granddaughter to use). I cut off the weapons, and this is what I used for Naaman. They are plastic and they stand very well by themselves. We could play in the sink Jordan River, and the girls could dip him the 7 times easily and retell me the Bible facts! And, they had a lot of fun!

I had these left over from my class, and we used them... which they love because Naaman is on a craft stick! Click on the picture to see it.

We also did this file folder game for N is for Nest and Numbers. I put a number in the top right box, and they counted the correct eggs and birds to add to the nest. We also named all the pictures that were what God made. Click here to print it. (and you can print extra birds and/or eggs if needed)

The letter N pack has more printables than usual. N is for nose, and you can ass stickers or draw different smells. Or, you can walk around the house and talk about the senses and what they do. Just use different items around the house to use the senses. N is for Net, and you can add butterflies to this paper. N is for Night, and you can add stars for the night sky. N is for Newspaper and you can add their picture and let them write or tell a story about themselves, or you can print or draw a picture of Naaman and retell the Bible facts they learned. 

There are always other printables in the alphabet packs which includes several pages like N is for Nest, etc. and not necessarily from the Bible. There are always retelling cards to print and let them tell you what they learned about the Bible. And, there are always one or two pictures to color of the Bible facts for each letter.
