Preschool at home ideas and printables!
This week is the letter T for Tower of Babel!
This week is the letter T for Tower of Babel!
Here is a short, preschool overview of the Tower of Babel found in
Genesis 11:1-9. God wanted the people to move all over the earth
after Noah and the flood, but they all moved to the east. They said “Let’s
build a city with a tower that will reach to the heavens. We will make a
name for ourselves!”
They wanted everyone to know how great they were! They had
1 language and they were not using it to praise God, they wanted men to praise
them for their city! God made the people talk in different languages
I started out talking about Noah first to
lead into the Tower of Babel.
We sang Good Old Noah first and they love picking
out the animals for Noah! You can see the song, animal printables, a file
folder game and more here.
I printed these children of the world. I
printed them each a world picture and told them it was their game board. We are
going to play a game! (That gets them excited every time!)
I had hidden a set
of the kids for each of them and told them they needed to find the children of
the world. As they found them, and if they found one they already had, they either traded for
one they didn't have, or gave the double to the other person. We talked about
sharing and helping others, too! You can print the above game in color or black & white.

we used to connect with The Tower of Babel.
For this maze, the earth is in the center, and there are arrows pointing out in every direction, just like God told the people to go out in all directions. Start at the earth and go out in all directions! You
can print the maze, all the pictures to color, retelling cards, etc. here.
They built
a tower with Play Doh!
This is a really cute, really short Little Turtle Song. I printed extra turtles for them to hold and wave while we sang the song... over and over! T is for Turtle, and they loved the song! You can print the song and more here.
I used several ideas from my Bible class post here including the above tool box & tools and the construction hat. Click on the picture to see the post & printables.
