E is for Fish = Jonah
Preschool at home ideas and printables!
This week we are working on the letter F and we
discussed the facts about Jonah
and the great Fish that God created!
We had a lot of fun making these fishbowls! I found the glass fishbowls at
Dollar Tree. We painted the inside with blue paint to look like there is water
inside. They added fish stickers all around the outside. Then, when the paint
was dry, they put in the blue stones and plastic fish. You can see in her
face that she is enjoying it!
I use these fish for handouts for a lot of Bible lessons! You can see the fish here.
I printed the fish on heavy colored cardstock and
cut out the fish on page 9 on the F is for Fish download pack below. The girls
painted them, then we used brads to attach the top of the fish over Jonah to be
a lift-the-flap. They loved it!
There are pictures
to color for fish, frog, flower and fingerprint.
I let them color the frog,
then we added the lily pad.
I had them use finger paint to make their
fingerprints for the fingerprint worksheet. We talked about fingers, hands, etc. and "God made them".
She loves mazes, so there is a maze to make Jonah go through each part of his trip to Nineveh. We added flower stickers and sun,
etc. for the flower. For the fish, they colored it, then glued Jonah on the page. You can download all the F printables here.
Click here for more ideas, printables and a song (and why I teach
great fish and not whale for Jonah) at this Jonah for preschool post.
You can also find a frog file folder game, life cycle, another cute frog & lily pad and pictures to color here.
(It is not a Bible book, but great for home use!)
Some books we used for the letter F.
