This bulletin board looks sooo much better in person than the picture! I wanted to keep it simple so the main theme didn't get lost. The title states READING, and the first set of letters is 'the Bible'.
I found this banner at the teacher's supply store when I purchased the Monopoly set. When I saw it, I thought to make a banner across the top of a wall and just add words and a scripture about reading the Bible. I actually was going to use it above the "Bible is a Library" bulletin board in my classroom. But, I thought of this design, and knew I could get more use out of it this way. So, there are options if you purchase this banner! Since the banner states "READING", I used words that have to do with reading and studying the Bible.
When I cut out the tiles, I left all the parts together that are going to be together on the board. I also cut around the corner, then left a tab on the ends that connected with another letter.
I also left the tiles together that have a space between them, that will intersect with another word. I just cut the square to be a rectangle, then I could easily put them together on the board.
You can find the Scrabble items including the READING banner that are for sale by Eureka here.
I have the Scrabble border here in a different download. You might not want to use it, or you may decide to purchase the border that is available instead. Click here to print it.
You can download everything else here.
